A steel frame tiny house is built using light gauge steel framing, a precision-engineered alternative to timber. Each frame is pre-designed and manufactured for accuracy, resulting in a stronger, straighter, and more reliable structure.
Steel framing is increasingly popular in the use of tiny homes beacuse it is up to 50% lighter than timber.
Also, it:
- is termite and pest resistance
- doesn't warping, shrinking, or twisting
- is non-combustible material (ideal for bushfire zones)
- has high structural accuracy
- has long-term durability
For tiny homes, this means better use of space, fewer issues over time, a higher-quality long lasting build and greater design flexibility while still meeting the 4.5t towing restrictions.
